YMCA’s Palm Sunday Lunch Benefits Y Scholarships
On Palm Sunday, April 9, a delicious lunch will be served at the J. Smith Young YMCA. The lunch of chicken pie, creamed potatoes, green beans, rolls, dessert, and tea will begin at 11:30 and will continue until 1:30 to accommodate those who may want to eat following the Ecumenical Palm Sunday Service held on the old Court House steps.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults and youth 11 years and older, $5 for children 4 – 10 years of age. Children 3 and under are free. Tickets are available at the YMCA front desk and from a representative in the church congregations. They may also be purchased at the door on April 9. With advance purchase of tickets, you may reserve a table of 10. Take- out service is also available.

Seating is limited to the first 300 tickets sold. Ticket sales begin March 19, 2017 at the Y and in the churches.

After expenses, all proceeds directly benefit the YMCA scholarships that provide after- school day care, swim lessons, sports teams, and summer camp experiences for children in Davidson County. In 2016, the YMCA gave $131,678 in scholarships to folks in Davidson County.
