Baccalaureate Service 2017

At each transition of life, we must be prepared for farewells and new beginnings. In every farewell, there is a legacy to gain. In every new beginning, there is a hope to transform. In all of life’s transition, there is a foundation of faith to provide stability and courage.

Happy Graduation, FBC Youth!

Thanks Sparky, for the photos!

The Blessing Bag Project

God’s goodness.

When a loved one is admitted into care at the Hinkle Hospice House, remembering to bring toiletries, journaling tools, even a magazine or puzzle books etc….may be the farthest from one’s mind. So why not make this one less thing that a patient or loved one has to remember by providing them a “gift of comfort and hope” in a bag, a Blessing Bag? Click this link to see more coverage about this project from Fox8.

12= the number of beds in the Hinkle Hospice House (HHH).
32= the average number of patients that are serviced monthly at HHH.
50-100= the number of blessing bags donated by March 1.

What does a “Blessing Bag” contain?
Travel-sized toiletries, a comb, a pen, a small notepad, and always a message of hope. (Contents may vary depending on donations.)

Activity Blessing Bags: a Sudoku, crossword, word search, or coloring book, a pen, colored pencils or crayons, and a message of hope.

The 144 Challenge

We are asking you to become a mission partner with our youth through the 144
Challenge. The youth who are going to Belize represent the 12 disciples and the church represents the 12 Tribes of Israel. Twelve youth working alone can only do so much, but with you accepting the challenge to partner with them through prayer and financial support, we can multiply their effectiveness. 12 X 12 = 144.

You are invited to take one of the envelopes in the sanctuary. The number on the front is the amount of money you are willing to give, anywhere between 1 and 144 dollars. The envelope contains a listing of the Belize team and details about this summer’s mission.

We ask that you prayerfully consider accepting the 144 Challenge!
