Welcome to FBC!

In an effort to orientate you to our church, activities, missions and service, below are a couple of FAQs that may interest you.

  1.  Where do I park?    Parking is available all around our Campus.  The main parking lot is off of 3rd Avenue to the right of the church.  Park anywhere:  on-street or in our Parking lot.
  2. What’s there to do for our children during Worship Service?  We have a children’s ministry during the Worship Hour.  The location, which is actually part of our Martha Best Children Center ministry, is downstairs in a very secure area of our church.  During service, our children teachers will guide their young guests through some very basic Bible principles as well as hands-on activities.  Additionally, the children will be guided by adults up to the Sanctuary for a Children’s Mini-sermon during the Worship Service hour.
  3. What is the dress code for FBC?  There is no formal dress code.  You will see differing apparel.  The seasoned members usually wear a suit, tie for men while the women usually wear dresses or pants.  The younger members usually wear what is termed business casual.  You’ll even witness a couple of folks that come as they are……in any case, FBC will take you as you are and will welcome you with open arms!
  4. What is the Worship Service hour like?  You can get an idea by listening, in a no pressure environment, ie. your home,  to our service prior to attendance by simply dialing in your old fashion radio to FM Majic 99.9 or to AM 1440.  Or if you’re tech savvy, go to FM Magic 99.9 website, click their live music at 11:00 a.m. and listen on-line to our service.  You can also follow along with us by viewing our bulletin on-line.  The bulletin outlines our service in details.  Check out this page for the above details:  Worship Service.
  5. What if I’m new?  After you park, take your children to our Children’s Ministry and make your way into the Sanctuary, make yourself at home.  Take any seat you desire as there are no reserved seats.  You can sit down front, in the back or up in the balcony….you’re choice.  We would like to engage you further in our ministries by either filling out a visitor’s card and placing it in the offering plate or by using our Contact Us page on our website.  You’ll be welcome either way you choose.
  6. Explain your Christian/Baptist language.  That’s a great question!  In short, we are Baptist which means freedom with Bible, Soul, Church and Religion freedom.  The best summary is to listen and/or attend our Worship Service hour…..you’ll learn a lot through our service.  Or perhaps, for a more low key approach, attend one of our Bible Studies with our Senior Minister.    You can also peruse our website for more details.  We have service details, plenty  of pictures of events, and podcasts of our Worship Service.  If you have a specific question(s), please let us know!
  7. I’ve been to many of churches before.  Often I’m asked, what I feel like, is for too much information initially.  Will I be inundated with questions during my first visits? The short answer is no.  Provide FBC with only the information you want to share.
