Wednesday Nights at First Baptist , Fall 2016

Our Wednesday night family night kickoff is September 14 with the Wildcat Mountain Boys Bluegrass band! FBC-familynightBegins-20142047

Our fall schedule includes studies on the Baptists in September and the Reformation in October.

We will have our annual Fall Festival on October 26 and have a report from our Search Committee in November.

June 1, 2016 is “Dream Night” at FBC

Today is a new day at First Baptist Church! We are moving forward as a congregation into uncharted waters, but we are a people of faith believing that God will lead us in our journey. Now is the time for us to look to the future and dream great dreams, for “The future belongs to those who believe in their dreams.”

On Wednesday night, June 1, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, we will have a “Dream Night.” This will be a joyful and optimistic gathering with delicious desserts to sweeten our dreams! We want you to dream of where our church can be 5 years from now – 10 years from now! As the Personnel Committee begins to form our Search Committee, our dreams will be essential as we look for a new Associate Minister. Make June 1 a priority! Dare to dream great dreams for First Baptist!

Family Night Fall 2015 Premiere

Well, it was a great night……The congregation trickled in, the kids were anxious, most of the food was ready….and then it happened…..the BBQ Chicken was a no show. Arrgh! Phone calls were made to the vendor. The stalwart congregation, in the meantime enjoyed some meaningful fellowship…..for about 45 minutes or so. Finally, the Chicken arrived much to the delight of the hungry congregation.

After some good food and fellowship, Ryan Short provided an outstanding program geared toward all ages. Great job FBC!
