Dear FBC-Friends!
I hope you can join us for a very special time of worship this Sunday, May 20, as we welcome the Lexington Senior High Choral Ensemble. Melonie Rector does an outstanding job with these talented young people. Their repertoire for Sunday includes “Sing Me to Heaven,” “The Road Home,” and “We are Blessed.” It is always a joy to hear these gifted young people sing!
Richard and Betty Jane Honeycutt will be providing our pre-service music this week. This weekly feature has become a special blessing to our congregation.
Ethan Houser will share with us Sunday about his exciting summer plans at Passport. Ethan has been selected to be a Bible Study Leader, one of the most important positions of leadership in the Passport camp. It is a great honor to be selected. We are so very proud of Ethan for his leadership and Christian witness.
Connie Russell will talk to us Sunday about a critical need we have in Davidson County for foster homes. You can make a tremendous difference by becoming a foster parent.
We are always grateful for the beautiful music that Beverly Khemlani provides each Sunday. This week her offertory selection is “Deep River.”
Many of our youth are at Caswell this weekend. We pray they will have a meaningful and safe retreat. They will be returning home on Sunday.
I hope to see you in church Sunday. If you cannot attend in person, we are live on WLXN radio (1440 AM, 99.9 FM) at 11 a.m. and you can stream us from any location at WLXN.COM.
A week from Sunday is our Memorial Day Worship. June 3 will be Baccalaureate Sunday and there is a rumor we are going to Riverdale on June 10.
Grace and Peace,
Ray
