A “Meager Meal” on February 14th, 2018

February 14th is Valentine’s Day. It is also Ash Wednesday.

We will observe this most significant day with a “Meager Meal.” Reservations can be made as you normally do for Wednesday night meals. We will not charge for the meal but will ask for donations for the Dragonfly House.

The meal will consist of Pinto Beans, Greens, Onions, Pickles, and Cornbread. Following the meal we will have an intergenerational family discussion on love followed by a brief Ash Wednesday service.

Fall Festival

Fun, fun and more fun!

The chili beans, slaw and cornbread were great!  There was plenty of candy.  The kids in costumes were awesome but perhaps, the most intriguing were the adults…..everybody had some fun!  Shoutout to FBC’s Youth!  Great job!

Dream Night Recap

Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 was a new day at First Baptist Church!

We moved forward as a congregation into uncharted  waters with the help of Barry Sink leading us.  We are a people of faith believing that God continues to lead us in our journey.

“Dream Night” was a joyful and optimistic gathering with delicious desserts to sweeten our dreams! We dreamed of where our church can be 5 years from now – 10 years from now!  No Dream was impossible!IMG_20160601_192002204

As the Personnel Committee begins to form our Search Committee, our dreams will be essential as we look for a new Associate Minister. IMG_20160601_193722283

  • Pastor’s Pantry

You may also enjoy homemade cookies, cakes or candy. If you enjoy baking please consider donating items for the fair. All profits will go to benefit local and international missions. Contact Kay Albright (248-4130) or Sharon Palmer (798-1369) if you wish to contribute baked goods.

Family Night at FBC began Wednesday, September 10th, 2014.  Check out the action in the slideshow below.

We were introduced to our new chef, Melissa, said goodbye to LaVerne and renewed acquaintances with our FBC family.

And did FBC mention: the house was packed!

Be sure to check back for the posting of the entertainment photo recap……..

“Souper” Bowl Sunday 2014 Visual Recap

While the Super Bowl game was anticlimactic, the FBC version, Souper Bowl 2014, was a hit.  The stars of the event were the FBC congregation and guests along with Mrs. Joyce’s homemade vegetable soup, Conrad & Hinkle pimento cheese, Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches and Brownies.

To top it all off, FBC’s youth did it again…..another successful fundraiser for the pursuit of mission and service to our local and international community.

Great job FBC Youth!
