Davidson County First Hope Ministries
Why We Care
• 1- Operates an Emergency Shelter for the homeless and 2- operates a Clothing Closet and Food Pantry for the needy and homeless in our community while “sharing the love of Jesus Christ to all.” Quote by Director, Ashley Phillips. 3- Will build an entirely new facility as part of Davidson County Connect, the Gateway to Success. This plan will re-locate the main human resource services in our community with the goal of serving people in need more completely and efficiently. Our church would like to support this First Hope Building Fund.
• The First Hope shelter can accommodate 48 men and 16 women, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Also, there is a family shelter which can house 7 families and is open 24 hours a day and 365 days a year!
• Each homeless individual or family is carefully monitored by assigned case managers whose job it is to set short and long term goals aimed at successful independent lifestyles. They are held accountable for their actions.
• Due to inflation, the number of clients requesting assistance from the Food Pantry and Clothing Closet has increased by approximately 75%.
