Dear FBC-Friends,

Once a year we gather as a church to honor our High School graduates and to celebrate this great milestone in their lives.  And every year we wonder how these children have grown up so fast!

This year we have three graduates:  Tori Houser, Harrison Fulbright, and Skylar Freedle.   Tori and Harrison have grown up in our church and Skylar has been involved in our youth group.

I know you will want to be in church Sunday to share in this great service of celebration!   Meagan Smith and Peggy Barnhardt will be providing our Pre-Service music.

I have a special surprise for the Children (That I think the entire church will enjoy!)

The choir has a lovely   anthem for our graduates:  “Go, My Children, With My Blessing.”  The words are beautiful:  “Go, my children, with my blessing, never alone; waking sleeping, I am with you, you are my own.  In my love’s baptismal river I have made you mine forever.  Go, my children, with my blessing.  You are my own.”

Harrison is reading our Old Testament Lesson from Jeremiah 29: 11-14, and Tori is reading the New Testament Lesson from Philippians 4: 4-7 and verse 13.

We will honor our graduates with a breakfast before the service and we have a gift from the church that will be presented in the service.  The Sue Brown Knitting Ministry will also have a very special gift.

A special thank you to Beverly Fulbright and Linda Engstrom for taking on the role of the “candy providers.”  Jim Phillips always made sure the candy dish in the office was full of candy for the children.  Beverly and Linda want to continue this tradition in memory of Jim.  If you would like to help them by purchasing some candy, please let them know–I know they will be glad to have others help with the happy task.

If you cannot be with us in person, tune in to WLXN radio (1440 AM or 99.9 FM)  Unfortunately, the radio station is no longer providing the live stream of our service.  We are looking into a way to provide streaming through our website.

I hope to see you on this very special Sunday!
