Christmas Eve Communion Candlelight Service 2015

Thursday, December 24     5:30 p.m.     Sanctuary

Arrive early for this tradition of candlelight and communion. We will close the Advent season with the singing of “Silent Night” while the Sanctuary is illuminated by candles and filled with the anticipation of Christmas Day.

We will be receiving a special offering at the Christmas Eve Service to help our church reach our budgetary commitments for 2015.

If every family would consider a special Christmas gift in addition to their regular gift, it would make a tremendous difference. We invite you to come to the Christmas Eve Service prepared to make a special Christmas gift.

Salvation Army Angels 2015

FBC-FamNightEnd--Dec2014-0001

2014 Salvation Army Angels

We have the opportunity to give light and hope to Lexington/Davidson County children this Christmas through the Salvation Army Angel Program. So many of these children would not have a Christmas if not for our efforts.

We have 125 Angels that are now available.

Gifts should not be wrapped and the Angel tag with the child’s information should be attached to the gifts. Our deadline is Wednesday, December 9. Please bring unwrapped gifts to the fellowship hall between  December 2 and 9. We will need volunteers on Thursday morning, December 10 to deliver  the gifts to the Salvation Army.

Beauty of the Advent Season, Visual review

The Sanctuary Committee has been busy decorating the church for the Advent season.  The annual Chrismon tree is in place, candles are in the windows, and wreaths and garland have all been hung inside and out.  The Nativity creche is located in our narthex.  Thanks to the committee for all they do in preparing the church house for the season.

These decorations in the Sanctuary are simply wonderful!  On this Sunday of Advent, FBC captures some of the Visual aspects of the season as well as the Worship Service.
