The Power of Partnerships

The heart of our relationship/partnership is with 140+ Baptist congregations across North Carolina, with whom FBC has cooperatively been engaged since its founding in 1994.  Indeed, there is “Power in a Partnership.” (Philippians 1:4-5)

Together In Partnership:
• we have a ministry presence on our 7 in-state Baptist Colleges and Universities and at our four Divinity Schools.
• we support the ministry of the NC Baptist Children Homes, NC Baptist Men, WMU, Baptist Camps, and other Baptist in-state ministries.
• we are ministering and offering Christian hospitality to immigrants and refugees within our state, to the Latino community, and working for racial justice.
• we are supporting and equipping the work of ministers and congregations, and engaging in the spiritual formation of youth and young adults.
• we are enhancing the fellowship of our cooperating congregations.
• God is at work touching many hearts and minds with the transforming love of Christ.(1 Corinthians 12:27)

In fellowship and partnership with other believers we can do far more together than alone.

Thank you for your financial support!

Next Sunday: February 11th, 2018

Next Sunday, February 11th, our church will become an “Encourager Church” with CBF.

Linda Jones with CBF will be joining us for this special service.

Just for Women

The Carolyn Phillips Mission Group would like to invite all the women in the church (and surrounding area) to a special event on Tuesday, June 6th at 12 noon at Yarborough’s Restaurant.

Cecilia Beck, CBF missionary in Shelby, will be updating us on her work and sharing a special project with us. Working with the youth in her distressed neighborhood, she has started a jewelry business to benefit the youth.

Join us for lunch, if possible, and hear what Cecelia is doing and buy some jewelry. Seating is limited for lunch (we will order off the menu), so please call Kay Albright at 248-4130 no later than June 2 to make a reservation. No reservation needed to come buy jewelry (come about 1:00).

Global Missions Offering

It is the time of year that we give a special offering to the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship for missions.  You have a Missions envelope in your packet or just make your check for CBF Global Missions offering.  May we give so others can serve.

Sunday, July 12, 2015 Lunch

Eric and Julie Maas are our CBF Missionaries in Belize. They serve as Camp Directors for the Baptist Training Center that our church helped to start 25 years ago. Eric and Julie will be our guests Sunday, July 12.

We are having a lunch with Eric and Julie following the service at Tricia’s Catering. Everyone is invited to attend. Tickets are $14.00 for adults and $7.00 for children 10 and under. Tickets (available in the church office) must be purchased by Sunday, July 5 and checks made to Tricia’s Catering.

CBF in support for people of Nepal

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is partnering with a network of Baptist groups from around the world to provide aid to the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal, which has killed more than 5,000 people, injured thousands more and left the impoverished South Asia country in a state of disarray. CBF has contributed an initial $10,0000 to the Baptist relief efforts and is encouraging Cooperative Baptists and friends to support the Fellowship’s response to the Nepal crisis. Gifts can be made to
the CBF Nepal Response.
